Michelle Gourley, MFT, LCSW, JD

M. Michelle Gourley, MFT, LCSW, JD, has over 40 years of experience working with juveniles, young adults, and their families. She holds graduate degrees in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Law, with a specialization in family and juvenile law, and is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher through Brown University. In 2002, she co-founded Gateway Academy, where she developed a neuroscience-informed, mindfulness-based treatment and education model for adolescent boys. Michelle is a co-founder of NOJOS and helped develop national protocols and standards for assessing and treating youth who engage in sexual misconduct. Through her private practice, she provides specialized assessments nationwide and presents on adolescent development, trauma, sexual development, and brain-based approaches.
